The Timbers of Eureka Reopening – Phase 2 


Hours of Operation:
Monday - Thursday: 5:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 5:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

Facility Information

  • The facility will be open to members only, no walk-ins or daily passes will be sold.
  • Occupancy will be limited to 25%. If 25% capacity is reached at any point, any member that has been in the facility longer than an hour will be asked to leave.
  • Reduced capacity: 25% maximum capacity – 15 for fitness center, 15 for court #1 activities, 15 for court #2 activities.
  • If capacity is met, guests will not be allowed into the facility until another guest leaves. A line may form outside.
  • A distance of 6 feet between each guest should be kept.
  • 6 foot distance markings leading from the entry to front desk will be posted.
  • Water fountains will not be operable, except for water bottle filling station.
  • Showers will be available, but patrons must disinfect them before and after each use.
  • A limited number of lockers will be available for members.
  • Saunas will remain closed at this time.
  • Tot Room will be available at limited times.  Please see the Tot Room section below for further information.

Entry into the facility will require:

  • “No contact” procedure at front desk for all transactions.
  • Touchless temperature check to ensure temperatures are lower than 100.4 degrees.
  • Verbal responses to all COVID-19 symptom questions by staff and signature of verification.
  • Using hand sanitizer prior to entering the facility. 
  • Congregating in the lobby is not permitted. Only those checking in may stand in the lobby.
  • Guests will check out with staff as they leave and indicate what area of the facility they were using to allow for an accurate count to be kept.

St. Louis County Face Coverings Guidelines

  • According to St. Louis County guidelines, face coverings must be worn at all times while in the facility, including those who are working out or playing a sport. 
  • Face coverings must be worn by anyone age 3 years and older while in The Timbers.

Fitness Center

  • Social distancing is strictly enforced.
  • Patrons must disinfect machines/free weights/bars before and after each use.
  • According to St. Louis County guidelines, face coverings must be worn by all persons working out at a gym or other fitness facility.
  • Staff will be cleaning and disinfecting machines on a regular schedule. You may be asked to wait before getting on a machine to allow our staff to clean and disinfect throughout the day. Your patience is appreciated.

Locker Rooms

  • Showers will be available, but patrons must disinfect them before and after each use. Cleaning supplies will be provided.
  • A limited number of lockers will be available for use.  Lockers will be checked out to members and their lock will be able to remain for the reservation period of 2 months.  This process will be reevaluated after that time to decide if it will continue.  To register for a locker reservation, please contact Ann at amoore@eureka.mo.us
  • Saunas will remain closed.

Tot Room

  • In order to provide a fun and safe experience for your family and comply with the guidelines provided by the St. Louis County Health Department, we have modified our Tot Room operations. Please review the information below prior to your visit.
  • Tot Room will be open Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - noon.  Evening and weekend hours are not currently available. *PLEASE NOTE: starting the week of January 18, tot room will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  It will continue to be open 9:00 a.m. - noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
  • Maximum duration is two (2) hours.
  • Face coverings must be worn by anyone age 3 years and older while in The Timbers and the Tot Room.
  • Do not visit The Timbers if you or your child has a fever or any symptoms of illness.
  • All facility entrance requirements (temperature checks and screening questions) must be met in order for children to visit the Tot Room.        
  • Maximum capacity of 4 children per hour allowed in the Tot Room. The Timbers has the right to adjust the maximum capacity as county guidelines and staffing dictate.
  • Social distancing will occur as much as possible within the Tot Room.
  • In addition to our standard cleaning protocols, we’re implementing enhanced cleaning protocols, including full disinfection fog of the room each day.
  • Toys will be rotated each hour to be sanitized and all toys that are difficult to clean have been removed.

Gymnasium

  • Timbers Gym Usage Schedule Week of January 25 (PDF)
  • A gym usage schedule will be released weekly with available play times. 
  • Players must bring their own equipment. Paddles, balls and racquets will not be loaned out. 
  • No contact play, scrimmaging or game play. Shooting independently, individual drills and games such as horse/knockout are allowed as long as balls are not shared.
  • In accordance with St. Louis County face covering guidelines, individuals utilizing a recreation center/gym must wear a face covering at all times, including while working out or playing a sport.
  • Players must attempt to maintain social distancing while playing and waiting to play.
  • No food or drink allowed in the gym except closed water bottles.
  • Any guest who plans to leave their gym activity and transition to the Fitness Center must notify the front desk staff so we can track attendance. If the maximum attendance is already met, guests may be denied access to the Fitness Center until other guests leave.

Group Fitness Classes

  • Group Fitness schedules will be released each week with updated class information.  Please note the location of each class as they are being held in multiple locations.
  • Classes will be held in The Timbers gymnasium, The Timbers meeting room, the Eureka Community Center or outside, weather permitting.
  • In accordance with St. Louis County face covering guidelines, individuals utilizing a recreation center/gym must wear a face covering at all times, including while working out or playing a sport.
  • All classes are limited and registration is on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are required for cycling classes.
  • With the increase in facility hours, boot camp will return on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
  • The 5:15 a.m. cycling classes have been moved to The Timbers to allow for locker room usage prior to work hours.  Due to the limited number of bikes that will be available, reservations will now be required for all cycling classes. Reservations can be made by calling The Timbers or at the front desk.  Reservations will be accepted 24 hours in advance of each class.  Since The Timbers will be closed on Sundays, reservations for the Monday classes can be made on Saturdays.
  • Participants must maintain social distancing at all times.
  • No equipment will be provided with the exception of hand weights and steps.   Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat/beach towel and a hand towel to class.

View this week's gym usage schedule (PDF) so that you can plan accordingly. We strive to keep one half of the gym open for our members to use for open play. Unfortunately with some of our programs and events, that is not always possible. This will be updated once a week and will also be posted at The Timbers.
