Swim Lessons
We are partnering with the British Swim School to provide group swim lessons for 2023! British Swim School was founded on the belief that every child should learn water safety and survival skills. For almost 40 years, they have been dedicated to their mission: “survival of the littlest”. Their unique methodologies, programs, and techniques are proven to save lives and teach people of all ages how to swim. Registration will open soon!
Their highly trained, experienced, and friendly swim instructors teach swimming lessons that focus on safety, fun and developing skill during every single class. Every child is different, and the program is purposely designed to help any student no matter the age or ability.
Students learn better in small groups: that is why the lessons are limited to 4 students. Students get the benefit of watching each other and instructors focus on each student’s individual needs.

Levels
White - Water Acclimation & Beginner Water Safety
3 months to 36 months (with parent)
Not just another mommy-and-me playtime. This class will build your infant’s or toddler’s confidence in the water and introduce foundational water safety skills, including how to roll over and float, using our structured program of songs, games, and fun.
Purple - Advanced Water Safety
18 months to 36 months
Swim instructors work with each child individually to master the water safety skills introduced in the white level. Parents are not in the pool, but actively participate in the class from the pool deck.
Yellow - Beginner Water Safety
3 years and up
The Yellow level is for children 3 and up just starting their journey to becoming swimmers. This class will build your child’s confidence in the water and teach foundational water safety skills, including how to roll over and float, through our structured program using fun, gentle methods.
Red - Advanced Water Safety & Beginner swimming
3 years and up
The Red level reinforces and builds on the safety skills from the Yellow level by introducing propulsion skills for water survival. Children learn beginner freestyle and backstroke to build confidence and prepare for our stroke development level.
Blue - Stroke Skills
3 years and up
Swimmers will learn correct arm, leg, and breathing techniques for freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke, and be introduced to butterfly. Students are constantly moving, swimming at the same time as each other, to gain repetitions and improve their endurance.
Weather Cancellations & Makeups
Timbers of Eureka staff will determine whether the pool must be closed due to weather or other circumstances. A makeup lesson will be offered if a lesson is cancelled due to a pool closure. Makeups will not be offered for student absences.
